US Trans Corp is a long-established provider of payment technology used across a range of enterprise environments. Its solutions support Microsoft Dynamics 365, helping Microsoft deliver a modern and flexible collections platform that enables organizations to manage payments efficiently and securely. Spreedly is the leading payments orchestration provider, offering a global platform that unifies multiple payment services through intelligent routing, data optimization, and a single point of integration.
The Problem: Escalating complexity in modern payment operations
As US Trans Corp continued to expand its role within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem, the company sought to address several challenges that were becoming increasingly common across the digital payments landscape. Rising payment costs, higher fraud risk, growing scrutiny from card networks, and the operational strain of PCI compliance were placing pressure on merchants that relied on US Trans Corp’s services.Â
At the same time, customers were demanding better authorization performance and more resilience against outages. Merchants were exploring multi-provider strategies but were struggling to manage the added complexity of disparate gateways, inconsistent data standards, and differing card network rules. These challenges were especially visible in high-volume environments where even small inefficiencies or failed transactions could materially impact revenue.
US Trans Corp needed a solution that would expand its payment reach, reduce friction for merchants, improve authorization rates, and simplify compliance obligations while maintaining a seamless experience within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.
The Solution: Orchestrated infrastructure for resilient payments
To address these challenges, US Trans Corp partnered with Spreedly and adopted its payment orchestration platform. The joint approach was presented at the PaymentsEd conference by Andy McHale of Spreedly and Wade Tetsuka of US Trans Corp, where they detailed how orchestration advances both revenue performance and customer satisfaction.
Spreedly’s platform expanded the reach of US Trans Corp’s payment stack by connecting merchants to a broad network of payment processors and alternative payment methods. Through intelligent payment management, the platform enabled US Trans Corp to reduce complexity and create a unified system capable of managing Card on File flows, advanced vaulting, transaction routing, and 3DS authentication.
Card on File operations were strengthened through the vaulting of network transaction IDs and authentication tokens, allowing for improved handling of customer initiated and merchant initiated transactions. This enhancement gave merchants more reliable data, reduced disputes, and improved the performance of recurring and return customer flows.
Transaction routing was optimized through a multi-provider strategy that allowed payments to be directed to the processor most likely to deliver a successful authorization at the lowest cost. Spreedly’s retry logic salvaged soft declines by automatically redirecting transactions to a secondary gateway when appropriate. In the event of processor outages, automatic failover redirected traffic quickly and without disruption.
3DS authentication was streamlined through a single integration that allowed users to manage 3DS across regions and providers. The orchestration layer made it possible to vault authentication outcomes for future use, giving merchants better control over both compliance related and fraud related 3DS scenarios.
The Results: Stronger authorization performance and operational control
The combined solution reduced the operational and technical burden associated with managing a multi-provider payments strategy. US Trans Corp merchants experienced greater resilience in their payment environments, improved performance across embedded and recurring payment flows, and greater control over authentication and compliance requirements.
Conference discussions reinforced the importance of this modernization. Merchants expressed rising concern about payment costs, fraud risk, and customer experience. The insights gathered at PaymentsEd highlighted the value of a unified payment strategy that removes barriers between processors, reduces chargeback exposure, and improves the flow of customer communications.
Spreedly’s internal data further supports the measurable impact of orchestration. Nearly eight percent of failed transactions can be recovered when routed immediately to a second gateway, and customers using Spreedly’s Recover solution have seen an average uplift of more than three quarters of a percent in overall success rates. For enterprise environments with large transaction volumes, these improvements translate directly to revenue preservation and increased customer satisfaction.
Through its partnership with Spreedly, US Trans Corp now delivers a more connected, reliable, and cost efficient payments experience within Microsoft Dynamics 365. This harmonized orchestration approach positions merchants to navigate evolving payment challenges while maximizing revenue across every transaction.
