Spreedly Adds New Heads of HR, Technology, and Marketing

Spreedly, the software company that accelerates global commerce by offering an open, secure, and flexible platform that welcomes all payments participants, today announced it has grown the organization’s leadership team with the addition of three new executives:

“As demand for the Spreedly platform continues to accelerate, it’s vital that we expand our leadership team to further strengthen our business,” said Justin Benson, Spreedly’s CEO. “I’m very pleased to add new executives with a history of proven results at scaling enterprise companies and a diverse range of experiences. We are exceptionally well-positioned to grow our leadership in the payments orchestration market.”

The three new executives bring a wealth of backgrounds and experiences, from both inside and outside of Spreedly.

Dana Calder, Director of Human Resources

Dana will lead all HR functions as the director of human resources for Spreedly. She will partner with the organization’s leadership to implement people strategies that are aligned with business goals. In her new role, Dana will provide guidance to Spreedly’s leadership team on all people matters including culture, organizational effectiveness, policy implementation, workforce planning, talent acquisition and development, employee engagement and retention, as well as training and development.

Dana began her tenure with Spreedly as an account manager on the new customer acquisition team. She was then promoted to Spreedly’s customer success team where she was responsible for the engagement with customers through trials, testing and onboarding. Prior to Spreedly, Dana found her passion for the Triangle’s technical community after joining The Iron Yard Durham, an immersive computer programming boot camp. As Director, she supported over 150 developers with career support to acquire local tech jobs by building a robust Triangle-focused employer advisory board.

Randy Guard, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Randy will lead the marketing functions that drive the Spreedly brand, market strategy, communications, demand generation, digital experience, content and product marketing, and inside sales efforts. Randy will help grow Spreedly’s market-leading position and thought leadership in the rapidly expanding payments market - continuing to cement Spreedly’s place as the first company to offer true Payments Orchestration.

Randy was previously executive vice president and chief marketing officer for SAS, a global provider of analytics and artificial intelligence software and services, where he led global marketing and communications, product strategy, product marketing, sales enablement, customer insights, and regional marketing.  He also served as the chairman of the advisory board for IDeaS, a SAS Company. After graduating from Duke University with a degree in electrical engineering, Randy began his career with Andersen Consulting.

Jillian Munro, Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Jillian will lead the engineering, compliance, and security organizations that develop the Spreedly platform. She will focus on scaling Spreedly’s technology to support the growing customer base while continuing to ensure security remains paramount. Jillian will also offer Spreedly a new level of business insight that will help guide the organization and connect the technology built to commercial priorities.

Jillian was previously the head of technology for Fidelity Digital Assets where she led cybersecurity initiatives and launched major fintech systems. She also served as senior vice president of Resiliency & Business Engagement for the Enterprise Cybersecurity organization at Fidelity Investments. Prior to joining Fidelity, Munro was managing director and chief technology officer for legal at JP Morgan Chase. She began her career at Andersen Consulting providing technology and strategy guidance to clients in telecommunications and financial services.
